Do you think the Bridge Resource Management training is still relevant today, 30 years after the launch of the BRM course?
I do and my BRM journey has lasted for 30 years so far.
It is 30 years since my first BRM course, as a graduating Captain student and it is 20 years since my first BRM workshop leader course. In between I was privileged to work in excellent BRM environments.
Since then, I have been training countless number of maritime students and professionals in BRM, during my 20 years in the maritime academy field.
I can assure you that it is still relevant today, maybe more than ever if we read the accidents reports.
Let us not forget the soft skills needed to safely operate ships, because training matters. Safety First.
